Bio: A.R.Vasavi, a Social Anthropologist, was earlier with the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bengaluru. She is currently with the PUNARCHITH COLLECTIVE that works on alternative learning for rural youth. Her academic interests are in the fields of agrarian studies, sociology of India, and education studies.
So Punarchith means re-think… It was to reposition ourselves in a very complex world… for the rural youths [to] draw from their own lives [and] to engage with both everyday lives and the larger system in a proactive way.
